The Abbeville County Economic Development Board has introduced a new logo and website. The project was directed by the Department of Development Services and funded in cooperation with the South Carolina Power Team and Little River Electric Cooperative. The Palladian Group of Spartanburg oversaw the creation of the new website and logo, according to a press release.
“The arrow which is encompassed in the image emboldens the concept of advancement or moving upward or forward, and the color gold is often associated with success and achievement, while navy is associated with stability and trust,” said Stephen Taylor, development services director for the Abbeville County Development Board, said in the release.Taylor also said having an easy-to-navigate website with community information is vital to businesses and site selection consultants as they are trying to identify possible locations.
“In many cases, the website is Abbeville’s first impression and a resource these businesses return to multiple times during the course of conversations with us,” Taylor said. “We anticipate the new website will be a great resource for industries looking to locate in the region.”
According to the release, the previous logo was created in 2001, and the former website in 2009. The new website is geared toward businesses and industries looking to relocate in the Upstate of South Carolina, and it features a database for available sites and buildings and will eventually feature International Economic Development Council’s Site Selection Data Standards, which are often criteria that businesses use when selecting locations.
The site is designed for mobile, tablet and desktop users.
