Manufacturer of small modular homes and sheds investing $2.85 million, creating 42 jobs
Westwood, a manufacturer of small modular homes and sheds, is expanding its Abbeville County facility to accommodate continued growth.
The company is investing $2.85 million and creating 42 new jobs to increase its capacity to produce sheds and homes.
The expansion will add 30,000 square-feet of warehouse and office space to the existing facility at 2491 South Carolina Highway 184 in Due West. New jobs will include forklift operation, warehousing, and skilled trades such as framing, plumbing and siding.
The first phase of the new facility is expected to be in operation in early 2026, with continued buildout over the next several years.
Westwood employs more than 50 people, with 34 employees in Due West and 10 additional sales locations across South Carolina and Georgia. Its mission is to provide comfortable structures that are built for life, without compromising on the quality and creature comforts.
